CPA-Led Firm Winter Garden, FL Same-business-day responses, Mon–Fri

You're Running the Business. The Filings Still Have to Happen.

The books, the payroll, and the tax return don't pause because you're with a customer.

Owners often end up doing QuickBooks at night, guessing at estimated taxes, or waiting on someone who doesn't call back.

Blackpoint CPA is Central Florida-based, serving clients statewide and remotely. Our core focus is CTSOs and nonprofits nationwide. We also work with small business owners — tax preparation and planning, bookkeeping, payroll, Florida filings, and a straight answer when you ask for one.

Tell us how the business is set up. We'll tell you what we can take on, and what it will cost, before we start.

What We Handle for Small Businesses

Federal returns, the books, payroll, and the Florida filings that sit next to them. The mix depends on the entity and the year.

Business Tax Preparation

Federal income tax returns for sole proprietorships, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations. The form follows how the business is organized. We confirm which return is yours before we prepare it.

Tax Planning

Estimated payments, timing questions, and a conversation before the year closes. Planning is a discussion of your numbers, not a promise of a particular tax result.

Bookkeeping & QuickBooks

Monthly bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, and financial statements in QuickBooks Online — the platform we use across the firm.

Payroll & 1099s

W-2 payroll and year-end 1099 preparation and filing. Whether someone is an employee or a contractor depends on the facts. We ask before we file.

Entity Basics

How a sole proprietorship, partnership, S corporation, or C corporation shows up on the business return, on payroll, and on your personal return. Forming an entity is a legal step. We cover the tax and accounting side.

Advisory

A clear look at cash, profit, and whether the books are ready for a lender, a partner, or the tax return. You get an explanation of the numbers you already have.

Florida Sales Tax

We prepare Florida sales tax filings for businesses that collect it. Which returns apply depends on what you sell and where. We file the ones that do.

Florida Reemployment Tax

Florida's unemployment insurance tax is the reemployment tax. We handle those filings for businesses with employees, along with federal payroll taxes.

Sunbiz Annual Reports

Florida corporations and LLCs file an annual report with the Division of Corporations, through Sunbiz. We prepare and file that report.

No Personal Income Tax. Your Business Can Still Have Filings.

Florida does not tax personal income. That is not the same as having nothing to file. What a business owes depends on the entity, what it sells, and whether it has employees.

Federal income tax still applies

Sole proprietors, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations each have a federal filing. Pass-through income generally lands on the owner's federal return as well.

C corporations are different

A C corporation doing business in Florida can have a Florida corporate income tax filing even though the state does not tax personal income. We don't assume an LLC is in that category — it depends on how the entity is taxed.

Sales tax, reemployment tax, and the annual report

We prepare Florida sales tax, Florida reemployment tax, and the Sunbiz annual report. These sit apart from the income tax return. A business may have one of them, all of them, or none. We file the ones that apply.

We look at the entity before we file

This page describes the work. It is not tax advice for a particular business. We match the filings to the entity and the year, then prepare them.

Getting Started Is Simple

1
Book a Call

Schedule a free consultation. Tell us the entity and whether you need bookkeeping, tax, payroll, or some combination.

2
Get a Quote

We'll say what the work includes and what it costs. Nothing starts until you have that quote and accept it.

3
Hand Off the Work

We take the books, the payroll filings, or the return — whichever we scoped. You hear back the same business day, Monday–Friday.

Partnership and S corporation returns

Partnership returns (Form 1065) and S corporation returns (Form 1120-S) typically run $2,000–$2,500, depending on complexity. That fee covers the federal return, Florida filings, and the Sunbiz annual report. Final pricing is quoted after a consultation.

Common Questions from Business Owners

Small business owners. We are Central Florida-based, serving clients statewide and remotely, including Winter Garden, Windermere, Ocoee, Clermont, Horizon West, and Orlando. Our core focus is CTSOs and nonprofits nationwide. Sole proprietors, partnerships, LLCs, S corporations, and C corporations are all common starting points. This work sits alongside that practice.

Either, or both. Some clients want monthly QuickBooks bookkeeping and the annual return. Others only need the return prepared. We scope it on a free consultation before any work starts.

Florida does not have a personal income tax. Income from many pass-through businesses is reported on the owner's federal return. A C corporation doing business in Florida can still have a Florida corporate income tax filing. We also prepare Florida sales tax, Florida reemployment tax, and the Sunbiz annual report when the business has those filings.

Yes. QuickBooks Online is our primary platform. If the file is behind, we can assess it and clean it up — the same kind of catch-up we do when an organization's books have fallen behind.
